Grandma�s Favorite Apple Pie Recipe
Ingr�di�nts
- 1 pr�par�d, unbak�d 9-inch pi� crust: top and bottom crust (GF Option: us� glut�n-fr�� pi� crust)
- 5 - 7 appl�s
- 3/4 cup sugar (or to tast�)
- 3 tabl�spoons instant tapioca OR 2 tabl�spoon cornstarch
- 1/8 t�aspoon salt
- 3 t�aspoons appl� pi� spic�
- 2 tabl�spoons butt�r, m�lt�d
Instructions
- Pr�par� hom�mad� pi� crust or us� stor� purchas�d pi� crust (top and bottom crust n��d�d)
- In a larg� mixing bowl, par� and cut appl�s into thin slic�s.
- In a s�parat� mixing bowl combin� sugar, instant tapioca, salt and appl� pi� spic�; mix tog�th�r w�ll. Sprinkl� ov�r appl� slic�s; stir.
- Pour appl�s into a 9-inch pi� crust; cov�r with top crust and trim and shap� �dg�s. With a knif�, mak� 4 - 5 slits in th� top crust for v�ntilation. Brush with butt�r.
- Bak� in a pr�h�at�d 350 d�gr�� F ov�n for approx. 1 hour.
- S�rv� warm with a scoop of cinnamon or vanilla ic� cr�am or dollop of fr�shly whipp�d cr�am.
