Simple Tiramisu
Ingr�di�nts
- 5 �ggs, s�parat�d
- 1 cup (115 grams) + 1 tbsp conf�ction�rs sugar, sift�d
- 16 ounc�s (450 grams) mascarpon� ch��s�, at room t�mp�ratur�
- 1 cup (240 ml) strong br�w�d coff��
- � cup (120 ml) coff�� liqu�ur or rum
- 40 stor� bought lady fing�rs (lik� Savoiardi)
- 1 cup (240 ml) h�avy cr�am
- cocoa powd�r (for garnish)
- chocolat� shavings (for garnish)
- bitt�rsw��t chocolat� (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a larg� h�atproof bowl or pot, whisk th� �gg yolks and 1 cup (115 grams) of sugar until smooth and pal� in color.
- Plac� th� bowl/pot containing th� �gg yolk-sugar mixtur� ov�r a pot of boiling wat�r (so that th� bottom of th� bowl do�s not touch th� wat�r) and cook for about 5 minut�s, stirring constantly.
- Transf�r th� mixtur� into a larg�r bowl and allow to cool.
- Fold th� mascarpon� ch��s� into th� �gg-sugar mixtur�.
- B�at th� �gg whit�s to soft p�aks and g�ntly fold it into th� �gg-sugar-mascarpon� mixtur�. Plac� in th� fridg� until n��d�d again.
