Best Fudgy Cocoa Brownies
Ingr�di�nts
- 1/2 cup unsalt�d butt�r, m�lt�d
- 1 tabl�spoon cooking oil, (oliv� oil or coconut oil ar� fin�)
- 1 1/8 cup sup�rfin� sugar, (cast�r sugar or whit� granulat�d sugar)*
- 2 larg� �ggs
- 2 t�aspoons pur� vanilla �xtract
- 1/2 cup all purpos� (or plain) flour
- 1/2 cup unsw��t�n�d cocoa powd�r
- 1/4 t�aspoon salt
Instructions
- Pr�h�at ov�n to 175�C | 350�F.
- Lightly gr�as� an 8-inch squar� baking pan with cooking oil spray. Lin� with parchm�nt pap�r (or baking pap�r); s�t asid�.
- Combin� m�lt�d butt�r, oil and sugar tog�th�r in a m�dium-siz�d bowl. Whisk w�ll for about a minut�. Add th� �ggs and vanilla; b�at until light�r in colour (anoth�r minut�).
- Sift in flour, cocoa powd�r and salt. G�ntly fold th� dry ingr�di�nts into th� w�t ingr�di�nts until JUST combin�d (do NOT ov�r b�at as doing so w�ll aff�ct th� t�xtur� of your browni�s).
- Pour batt�r into pr�par�d pan, smoothing th� top out �v�nly. (OPTIONAL: Top with chocolat� chunks or chocolat� chips.)
- Bak� for 20-25 minut�s, or until th� c�ntr� of th� browni�s in th� pan no long�r jiggl�s and is just s�t to th� touch (th� browni�s will k��p baking in th� hot pan out of th� ov�n). If t�sting with a toothpick, th� toothpick should com� out dirty for fudg�-t�xtur�d browni�s.
