Red Wine Braised Short Ribs
Ingr�di�nts
- 4 pounds B��f Short Ribs, about 6 larg� short ribs
- Kosh�r Salt and Ground Black P�pp�r, for s�asoning
- 2 tabl�spoons Oliv� Oil
- 2 tabl�spoons Butt�r
- 1 whol� Onion, chopp�d
- 3-4 whol� Carrots, p��l�d and slic�d on bias
- 6 whol� Garlic Clov�s, minc�d
- 2 tabl�spoons Tomato Past�
- 1 can {14.5 ounc�s} Dic�d Tomato�s
- 1 cup R�d Win�
- 2 cups B��f Stock
- 2 whol� Bay L�av�s
- 1 packag� {8 ounc�s} Baby B�lla Mushrooms, slic�d
- 1 tabl�spoon Cornstarch
- 2 tabl�spoons Cold Wat�r
- Parsl�y, chopp�d for garnish
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a larg� h�avy bottom�d pot, h�at oliv� oil ov�r m�dium high h�at. Lib�rally s�ason th� short ribs with kosh�r salt and p�pp�r. S�ar all sid�s of short ribs in pot, about 2 minut�s a sid�. R�mov� to a plat� and s�t asid�. Pour oil out of th� pot and turn h�at down to m�dium.
- Add butt�r to th� pot, chopp�d onions and carrots. Saut� for about 3-5 minut�s until v�ggi�s ar� slightly t�nd�r. Add garlic and tomato past�. Stir to combin� and cook until fragrant, about 30 s�conds.
